Generative Bionics and AMD plan Europe's largest Physical AI data factory

First 5,000-sqm hub in Italy by Q4 2027, two more to follow - AMD Helios will power the data engine behind Europe's industrial humanoids.

Generative Bionics used CES Unveiled Milan on October 21 to announce a multi-site Physical AI Data Factory network it describes as Europe's largest - a bid to move humanoid robotics from laboratory demonstrations to reliable industrial deployment, and to keep the data, models and know-how behind Europe's industrial humanoids generated, trained and validated on the continent. The company calls the goal "European humanoid sovereignty."

The first 5,000-square-meter hub, planned for Italy, is scheduled to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2027. A second facility elsewhere in Europe and a third serving global markets will follow. Together the three sites will reproduce real industrial environments, generate high-fidelity physical data, and connect that data with large-scale digital-twin simulation.

AMD is the AI infrastructure partner: the network will run on AMD Helios rack-scale architecture, processing physical and synthetic data, training Physical AI models and running thousands of digital-twin scenario variations in parallel. Data collected as the company's GENE.01 humanoid performs industrial tasks will be expanded through digital-twin simulations powered by AMD compute; models trained in simulation then return to the robots for real-world validation. The infrastructure is designed to train "World Action Models" and validate complete robot configurations before customer deployment, improving performance as fleets accumulate operating hours.

The announcement builds on the companies' strategic technology collaboration. Generative Bionics previously raised a EUR 70 million seed round led by CDP Venture Capital with AMD Ventures participating.
