Unitree unveils H2-X 'Kung Fu Legend Guardian': a humanoid built to serve and guard

Built on the H2 platform, the H2-X kicks car doors, lifts cars and jumps 13 feet - then plays bodyguard. Unitree says keep 2-3 meters back.

Unitree has released an official demonstration video for the H2-X "Kung Fu Legend Guardian," a new variant built on its full-size H2 humanoid platform - 182 centimeters tall, about 70 kilograms, with 31 degrees of freedom. The company positions the machine for serving and guarding roles, a product line it calls "serve and guard."

The demo shows the robot denting a car door with a kick, lifting a car by its hood with both hands, leaping from a platform about 13 feet high and landing in a backflip, and performing kung fu routines. It also stages security scenarios: shielding its owner from a knife-wielding attacker and intervening in a vehicle accident.

Unitree says the H2-X runs up to about eight hours on a charge and carries a 2,070-TOPS compute chip. Given the force on display, the company advises bystanders to keep a 2-3 meter safety distance during operation - a warning that doubles as a statement about how seriously it takes the machine's physical capability.

The video arrives as Unitree pushes hard on volume: the company said earlier this year it aims to ship 20,000 humanoids in 2026, up from 5,500 last year.
