Attendee guide: hotels, transport, badges
Hotels
- onPeak is the only official housing agent — book through ces.tech. CTA warns that unaffiliated resellers posing as official vendors are scams.
- Rates rise as January approaches and prime properties sell out. CES-week median was $439/night in 2026 (+63% vs a quiet week); booking 1–2 months ahead paid a median $407 vs $594 two-to-four weeks out.
- Individual reservations cover up to 9 rooms; 10+ rooms on one night need a group block.
- Pick your hotel by campus: LVCC, Venetian Expo, Fontainebleau and ARIA are not next to each other, and Strip traffic can turn a "cheap" room into an hour-long commute.
Getting around
- Free CES shuttles run between the LVCC, Venetian Expo and official hotels, Jan 5–9.
- Tech Express links LVCC and Venetian Expo; a separate C Space shuttle links ARIA.
- Las Vegas Monorail has a dedicated LVCC station and stops at major Strip hotels — discounted passes can be added during CES registration. It does not serve Venetian Expo.
- Vegas Loop connects LVCC with Resorts World, Encore and Westgate for a small fare; the LVCC Loop between halls is free.
- Taxis and rideshares run all week but traffic is heavy — budget 20–40 minutes between campuses including security.
Badges & registration
- CES is trade-only, 18+. Register at ces.tech; pricing is tiered by deadline.
- Badges are not mailed. Every attendee must pick up their own badge in person at a remote location — the airport, monorail stations or select hotels — with government-issued photo ID. No badge pickup at show venues, and nobody can collect on your behalf.
- Bag rules: two small bags max (under 12″×17″×6″), clear bags recommended; rolling bags prohibited. All bags are searched.
Press
- Media accreditation runs through the official CES media process on ces.tech.
- Media Days: Jan 4–5. CES Unveiled (Jan 4, Mandalay Bay) is media-only — the first look at exhibitors before the floor opens.
- Press conferences continue on the show floor during opening days; embargo rules apply.
