OlloBot brings its companion robots to CES 2027 with a Gen 2 debut

OlloBot will debut two new robots at CES 2027 — a Gen 2 model and a desktop lamp-form robot — after its OlloNi SS1 won an IFA award honor.

OlloBot will introduce two new robots at CES 2027 in Las Vegas: a second-generation OlloBot and a desktop lamp-form robot. The Hong Kong companion-robot brand announced the debut on October 31, alongside a first look at IP merchandise and ecosystem accessories built around its OlloVerse universe.

The debut follows the brand's European premiere at IFA Berlin 2026, where its OlloNi SS1 companion robot was named an Honoree in the Best in Home & Entertainment category of the IFA Innovation Awards. At IFA, the robot appeared in the show's "Robots on the Runway" showcase, reacting to its surroundings in real time.

OlloBot's bet is on companionship rather than chores. Its "Cyber Pet" concept treats the home robot as an emotional presence: the OlloNi SS1 reads touch, sound and facial expressions through the company's EmpathCore emotional engine, learning when to engage and when to step back. The idea, founder Lyn Fang said, is that a home robot should enter the household through emotional connection, not task lists.

The timing rides a wider shift. Market researcher IDC counts the evolution of educational and companion robots into all-age home intelligent terminals among the top trends in China's robotics market for 2026, with value moving from single functions to long-term relationships and services. OlloBot is developed by Ollobot Robotics, a Hong Kong company owned by BizConf Technology (SZSE: 300578).

For CES watchers, OlloBot is the other robot story at the show: alongside industrial humanoids built for factories, a lane of home companions built for feelings is getting its own hardware debuts — and its own award shelf.
