AgiBot's Lingxi X2 takes a hospital job: smart guidance at Peking University People's Hospital

The humanoid taps Ant Afu's medical AI and the hospital's private knowledge base to handle directions, visit flow and insurance questions.

A Lingxi X2 humanoid from AgiBot has gone to work at Peking University People's Hospital, taking over routine medical-guidance duties. The robot handles department directions, visit-flow consultations, medical-insurance policy questions and indoor navigation, plugged into Ant Afu's AI healthcare assistant, a medical large model and the hospital's private knowledge base.

The setup targets the hospital's real bottleneck: high-traffic outpatient halls where human guides spend their days answering the same repetitive questions. With multimodal interaction, the robot can field routine patient inquiries on its own, diverting the repetitive bulk of the workload from staff.

The project is a joint effort by AgiBot and Ant Afu, and it shows where humanoid deployments are actually scaling in China right now — not factory floors but structured service environments: hospitals, lobbies and exhibition halls where navigation, scripted answers and patient interaction are the job description.

Service-side deployment is also a data play. Every hallway run and answered question feeds real-scene interaction data back into the stack, the same loop AgiBot is running across its factory and hospitality pilots. Expect the hospital corridor to become one of the more contested humanoid battlegrounds in 2027.
