RoboScience closes Series A2 round worth several hundred million yuan

The Beijing embodied-AI startup, founded in December 2024, has now raised three rounds this year.
RoboScience, a Beijing embodied-AI startup founded in December 2024, has closed a Series A2 funding round worth several hundred million yuan, the company announced on November 2. The round was co-led by Amber Capital, Hongruida Investment and Shanghai Semiconductor Industry Investment, with Shuang Capital, 360 Strategic Investment, Guolian Tongbao, Jinding Capital and platforms of several listed companies participating. China Renaissance acted as sole financial adviser.
The money will go toward further development of RoboScience's embodied-AI models, proof-of-concept trials and scaled deployment in logistics, retail and industrial settings, and senior hiring.
RoboScience was founded by Tian Ye, a former technology lead on Apple's AI platform, and Shao Lin, an assistant professor at the National University of Singapore; the two were classmates in Stanford University's AI lab. The company released its RoboMirage physics simulation engine in September 2025, its Visics general-purpose embodied model in June 2026 and its first robot, the REX G1 wheeled humanoid, in August 2026. Days before the funding announcement, it unveiled Visics-Agent, a cloud model that switches between different robotic hands in 30 seconds, at the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit.
The round is the company's third financing of the year, and it landed as investors grow more selective about embodied AI after a hot first half. RoboScience says its data pipeline has cut the cost of a training sample to 0.05 yuan, and its video training library grew from one million clips to four million between January and October.
