Agibot pushes into Vietnam with national innovation center tie-up, RaaS model

China's humanoid leader pairs a ‘Yuan Sheng’ education program with robot-as-a-service to crack Southeast Asia.

Agibot is making its biggest Southeast Asia move yet. At the first Vietnam Embodied AI Conference in Hanoi on October 2, the Chinese humanoid maker deepened its partnership with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), launching an education program and a robot-as-a-service model for the Vietnamese market. The event, co-hosted with local partners ECOLIV and Great Education, drew more than 550 attendees, including officials from Vietnam's science, education, and industry ministries.

The centerpiece is the ‘Yuan Sheng Program’ for Vietnam's education and research sector — curriculum development, joint laboratories, faculty training, and student research projects designed to embed embodied-AI robots into the country's schools and labs. NIC presented Agibot with an Innovation Partner Award at the conference, and Agibot recognized its first group of Vietnamese ecosystem partners.

On the commercial side, Agibot is going all-in on RaaS: enterprises and universities can deploy robots through a local service network without heavy upfront investment, lowering the barrier to real-world adoption. It is deepening work with ECOLIV on market expansion, project delivery, and after-sales service. Target scenarios include education and research, retail services, hospitality and tourism, and industrial manufacturing, according to Abel Deng, Agibot's Middle East and Asia-Pacific president.

The Vietnam push follows a production milestone: Agibot said its 20,000th robot rolled off the line in September 2026. For Chinese humanoid makers facing a crowded domestic market, Southeast Asia's manufacturing base and policy support look like the next growth frontier.
